Pool tables come in a variety of sizes, ranging from small, 6-foot tables to large, 12-foot regulation Snooker tables. Knowing the size of your table is important to ensure accuracy when having your table serviced, moved, or reclothed.
How to Measure:
Using a tape measure, measure from one side of the bumper on the short side (i.e., the width of the table) to the bumper on the other side of the table. Make sure to measure at the top of the bumper where the ball touches, not from under the cushion.
Take the measurement for the width of the playing field and double it to get the length. Or, you could measure on the long side of the table from one bumper to the other.
For example, if your pool table measures 44 inches in width, you can determine the length by doubling this measurement to get 88 inches. This means that you have an 8-foot pool table.
It's important to note that the actual measurement of the table may not be exactly 7, 8, or 9 feet, the measurements can vary upwards of 3/4" but this method can give you a rough estimate of your tables size.
